IAKJ HISTORY

The IAKJ (International Karate Jutsu Association), founded in 2008 by Sensei Vinicio Antony, is an association that aims to reestablish the primordial concepts of the Martial Art, and through an innovative methodology, he has been carrying out a work to disseminate and understand the techniques and the original philosophy of Karate.
 
With representation in several countries such as Portugal, Italy, Poland, France and the United States, IAKJ develops an instructor training program with the aim of bringing excellence to the work of “Coach” in martial arts, training qualified professionals with vast knowledge in principles of biomechanics, physiology, pedagogy, neuroscience, neurolinguistic programming, in addition to a globalized knowledge of the three fundamental aspects of hand-to-hand combat, Atemi – Nage – Ne Waza, respectively, standing fighting, projection techniques and ground fighting.

About Master
Vinicio Antony

Master Vinicio Antony is specialized in Martial Arts and Human Performance. He is a 7th Dan Black Belt in Karate, 5th Dan in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and an International Master in Kickboxing and Thai Boxing. He is the founder and president of IAKJ (International Association of Karate Jutsu), head coach of Lyoto ‘The Dragon” Machida and Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort. In recent years, Master Vinicio Antony has dedicated himself increasingly to research and development of what he likes to call “Complementary Sciences”, with the primary objective of adding value to the profession of teaching.

Courses such as Applied Neurosciences, Neurolinguistic Programming, Coaching, Time Management, Focus and Discipline, are part of the construction of this differentiated professional in his segment, which also presents him as a writer and author of two literary works, JUTSU – The hidden art in Karate, and BLACK BELT MIND – The secret of the black belt mind.

1º Rules

Each competitor, referee, and judge MUST wear a complete traditional white karate Gi.

2º Rules

Safety equipment Mandatory: Hand gloves, Mouth guard, protective cup (male). Optional: Head gear / Face Shield (recommended); Chest protector (female), Shin & instep.

3º Rules

Fingernails and toenails MUST be clipped.

4º Rules

Competitors MUST NOT wear any jewelry.

5º Rules

If a competitor fails to appear in the ring on time, that competitor will be disqualified.

6º Rules

LEGAL TARGETS include the chest, stomach, face, sides of neck, kidneys, and back. NON LEGAL TARGETS include groin, eyes, throat and spine. in ALL KUMITE DIVISIONS.

7º Rules

The competitor will be immediately disqualified in case of: excessive or malicious contact, any display of poor sportsmanship or disrespect, failure to wear proper uniform, or safety equipment, falsifying age, rank, or any other registration information.

8º Rules

Kumite matches will be 3 points. Black belt matches will be 5 points.

9º Rules

Winners will receive their awards as their respective divisions finish.

10º Rules

We also reserve the right to combine any category that not have 4 or more competitors.
